Absolute Best Chicken Burrito is in San Marcos, Texas!

Last week I had the absolute best chicken quesadilla in San Marcos, Texas! Chicken fajita, oh my, dressed with guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos & pico. It was pretty darn good & definitely hit the hunger spot! Quesadillas are probably one of my favorite foods so whenever its on the menu I have to try it. We’ve eaten at the “Cafe on the Square” several times but this was my first venture into their lunch menu & boy was it worth it. The restaurant sits on the San Marcos town square & is easily found.

San Marcos is a growing college town in South Central Texas off Interstate 35 with a population of over 38,000 students. Opening in 1903, the school has grown immensely in size and is presently the fifth largest university in Texas!

If you are ever in this area of Texas, check out the area of San Marcos. Besides the beautiful courthouse located center of the town square, it is surrounded by a variety of shops & bistros in what – to me – appeared to be historic buildings. The University grounds are also a must see as are the mermaid statutes!
